A HUGE thank you to everyone who prayed and/or sent good vibes to Mama Boobies. She sailed through her heart procedure and we ended up with good news! Mad love to each and every one of you who showed love!
Moving on, I decided to link up with Monday Listicles. I know it's Sunday, but come on-it's been a long week for me.
Topic: 10 Things I Learned In 2012:

1. Between my eldest son moving out of state to live with his Dad, & the touch and go health of my Mom-2012 reminded me to embrace what you have. The good parts, the bad parts, & the sad parts.
2. Take chances. I've made some bold steps this year, throwing caution to the wind. I've decided to write a book. (Because hey--I could be the next Boobies King or something.) I'm also an Independent Scentsy Consultant. I know. You've heard me say this a bazillion times. I'm probably going to say it a billion more next year. (P.S. I can help you with your Christmas shopping. Just saying.)
3. Enlightenment. I started doing yoga this month. Triple D breasts and yoga weren't really meant to go together. But I make it work. I'm not sure if I found my Zen. But I do know I'm hella flexible now. (Mr. B likes that.)
4. Friends are like condoms. They are always there to protect you when things get hard. (Sorry, I had to go there.) I've been so lucky to have the friends that I'm surrounded by. The last year has been tumultuous for me, but I have truly been blessed with friends who know how to carry me and all the silicone parts I come with.
5. Let Go.
6. It's easier to beg for forgiveness, than to ask for permission. At least that's been my experience when the credit card bill comes.
7. It's OKAY if you might have caught Justin Bieber's new fragrance commercial on t.v. - liked it...a lot. It's also okay if you googled it. Because he's 18! Don't judge me. (Carrie!) I'm still a very youthful 30 + 3. I can look twice if I want. (So can you.)
8. It's okay to say NO. Unless you're getting paid. In which case, you should charge double.
9. Even the BEST parenting can go bad. (See When Good Parenting Goes Bad.)
10. Sharing a bed with two men is never a good idea.
What did you guys learn from this year?

Hugs. Girl you have been through so much this year and I have loved seeing you come through it, maybe not unscathed but at least stronger for it. And sign me up for the book when it comes out!
What have I learned this year? That sometimes no matter what you give up to help someone you love the help you offer may not be enough and may in fact have little to no change on the circumstances. Not for lack of trying on either part but because the only help you can offer is not the answer.
I always come back from reading one of your posts a wiser man.
what a heck of a year. I wonder if I could do yoga? Maybe I'll give it a try, you've inspired me! What a great list. You've gotten me to thinking.
I haven't commented in a while on here, but for sure, you have emerged this year better for all your struggles. I would love to read your book when you get it published. Yeah, I'm sure it would be "adult," but it couldn't be any worse than other things I have read. Don't worry, that's not meant to be negative. That is very positive. You should see what I have reviewed this year! Some books I would rather forget!!!
Best wishes for 2013--that is unless the world comes to an end in December!
glad things went good for mom. you sound like you had a good year. may 2013 be filled with more blessings for you!
hugs :)
I've learned that you're hysterical and made me want to actually try yoga. I'm gonna do it! I swear. I've also learned that its total awesome sauce to have you and Carrie as part of my forever history....signed (teehee) sealed and soon delivered! You rock!
I'm so glad to hear all about your mother's surgery going well and hope that her health problems don't come back for a very long time to come. Great post Boobies, I'm glad that you've grown to appreciate all that you have this year and that you've taken up yoga as a bonus, hopefully the other stuff about your son moving away will sort itself out someday too.
glad that your mom is okay. Im sorry for the struggles you went through this year. Ive been out of the blogging loop for a while so I dont exactly know what happened but hugs girl!
I really need to do some yoga or something I need some zen in my life.
Ive learned that teaching is a lot harder than it looks and it takes a ton of patience which I have had to reteach myself over the last few months.
your wisdom and humor always brighten even my worst days thank you and happy to hear mama pulled through sending hugs
You know what...before we became "friends" I always imagined you looked like the stick figure you drew of yourself ;-) Then we became texting buddies and you know what...you really are a stick figure with huge boobs! LOL

You're a brave strong mama...when my older dudes went to live with their dad in Colorado (3 years ago) I was completely heart broken. But you, just like I did, will slowly pick up all those pieces and your heart will be whole again.
